History

Founded in 2003 and incorporated in 2009, A. Lapointe Conservation inc. offers a range of conservation services. Artworks may be treated at our well equipped, secure studio , or on site when appropriate.

A. Lapointe Conservation inc. specializes  in the treatment of Painted Artworks, including:

  • Easel Paintings (including their frames)
  • Murals and Decorative Painted Interiors, including Architectural Finishes
  • Painted or Gilded Objects (polychromes on plaster, wood and stone)

Mission and Ethics 

Our mission is to provide qualified services to a variety of clientele while promoting awareness of professionally recognized standards and practices.

All treatments adhere to the Code of Ethics and Guidance for Practice of the Canadian Association for Conservation of Cultural Property (CAC) and of the Canadian Association of Professional Conservators (CAPC)Anne  Lapointe is an accredited member of CAPC in three areas of specialization:  Paintings, Mural Paintings and Architectural Finishes.

Clientele

Since its inception, A. Lapointe Art Conservation inc. has provided services to museums, art galleries, government and municipalities, teaching institutions, public collections, corporations, churches and other religious institutions, architects, private collectors and other individuals.
